1. What we remember

• Your account can remember topics studied, questions completed, results and settings.
• Secure sign-in and session information keeps the account working.
• If you use an eligible school email, its exact domain is used to apply school access. School accounts may have two active sessions and a later sign-in removes the oldest.
• ByteSizeNotes does not ask for your exact birthday, home address, photo, phone number or location.
• Student accounts are available from age 14. The four open sample lessons still work without signing in.

2. When you check an answer

• Your answer is compared with ByteSizeNotes scoring points to return an estimate only when your account has marking access.
• Longer answers may be sent securely to Cloudflare AI with the question and scoring points. English School access does not include this AI feature unless the account also has Pro.
• Your name, email and account ID are not included in that AI request.
• ByteSizeNotes does not save the submitted answer to your account database. A draft may stay on your device until you clear it.
• The AI must point to words in your answer, but its estimate can still be wrong and is not an official grade.

Do not type passwords, addresses, health information or somebody else’s secrets into an answer.

3. You are in control

• Download a copy of your account information.
• Ask ByteSizeNotes to correct something.
• Delete eligible account and learning data.
• Clear ByteSizeNotes information from a shared device.
• Ask a trusted adult to help—your privacy rights still belong to you.
